Peter Langstraat
Peter Langstraat read law at Erasmus University, Rotterdam. After national service, he began his law career at ABP. Having worked as a personal injury expert for several years, he joined Moree Gelderblom Lawyers in February 1992. He became a partner on 1 January 1997.
Peter Langstraat specialises in liability and compensation law, working almost exclusively for personal claimants. However, he also has experience in disciplinary law, acquired partly through eight years as a member of the Dutch National Judo Association’s Disciplinary Committee. For the last four years, he has chaired the latter committee.
In addition, he works for the Grotius Academy as a specialist personal injury examiner. Previously, he taught Liability and Compensation at Nijmegen Catholic University’s Postdoctoral Training Centre, and Personal Injury Law at NIBE-SVV, a training institute for the financial services sector.
Peter Langstraat was Chairman of the Society of Personal Injury Lawyers and is currently a member of the Society’s Quality Committee.
